Celebrating Nurses Week

Now more than ever, we are appreciating our nurses for all they do to keep us and our loved ones safe and healthy. Nobody wants to find themselves in a hospital and it can be especially scary for our young patients and their families. Nurses are the key provider of bedside care and attention. To us at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, they are priceless.

May 6 – 12  is annually recognized as Nurses Week. Nurses fill an integral and irreplaceable role at all hospitals, but they are often asked to go the extra mile while caring for our young patients. Our nurses at Phoenix Children’s Hospital give patients the best healthcare possible, help them cope with fears, play hair dresser and makeup artist for a wedding they’ve organized on their floors and so much more.

We are grateful for all nurses and hope that they feel appreciated and special during this week.
