Phoenix Children’s CMN Ambassador visits local Walmart to promote campaign impact

Walmart and Sam’s Club locations across the country are in the final push of fundraising for their local CMN Hospitals. The campaign began on June 10 with high fundraising goals so patients like Adri (pictured) continue to receive hope and healing.

Money is raised primarily through a register campaign where customers and members give at least $1 then write their names on a balloon icon that is displayed in the store. Associates also fundraise in various ways including bake sales, in-store contests and events.

A local store in Phoenix recently had a special visitor helping their efforts. Adri is the CMN Ambassador for Phoenix Children’s. She was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma at six years old – a pediatric cancer that attacks the bones or soft tissue. Adri has since beat the disease.  She takes pride is saying, “Cancer chose the wrong kid.”

Having Adri at a store during the campaign is a powerful reminder that this national campaign, which has raised over $1 billion since its inception, is making a huge impact close to home.

This year’s campaign wraps up on Sunday, July 7. Visit your local Walmart or Sam’s Club by Sunday to lend support to kids like Adri.
