Why I Extra Life

This post was written by second-year Extra Lifer LunaXTwilitXGoddess playing for Phoenix Children’s Hospital through childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org/guest-post. You can learn more about Extra Life at extra-life.org

So, originally, I had gotten involved with Extra Life through a streaming acquaintance and thought it would be fun. But the more I got into it and heard what Extra Life does for children, the more I wanted to help. See, I was in the hospital as a child, having a major spinal fusion done, to fix my scoliosis. At the time, Extra Life wasn’t around yet. But the more I think about it now, the more I wish they were. But I know what it’s like being in the hospital, scared and unsure what was gonna happen next. I want to play games and help children, and maybe inspire hope for those who need it, no matter how big.

I am a part of Extra Life because I want to help children who’re like me, going through big surgeries, or needing medicine that can help them. I feel now that this is where I want to be, doing what I can to help, and keeping an upbeat, positive attitude for those who may need it. I’m not gonna give up! This is just the beginning!

Don’t forget to sign up for Extra Life to help sick and injured kids in hospitals around the US and Canada by playing games! Have a story you want to tell? Please share it with us: childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org/guest-post.
