Extra Life Game Day- Play Games. Heal Kids.

This past weekend, Extra Life Phoenix hosted a two-day, 16 hour, live-stream virtual event that brought together pro gamers, sports stars, and Phoenix Children’s patients. The event featured four top esports titles- Madden NFL 20 powered by University of Phoenix, Rocket League powered by Cox, NBA 2K20 and Fortnite. Players battled it out for a variety of prizes, while the public cheered on from the sidelines as this collaborative effort raised an impressive $104,062 for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
This unique event allowed viewers and gamers alike, to enjoy action packed matches, with professional commentary, all from the safety and comfort of home. The patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital do not get to press pause on their battles. Even in the midst of a global pandemic, our community rallied together to play games and heal kids, all while inspiring hope and healing for our patients.
